Today’s post is a quickie because it’s so simple. So few small business do this though. It all goes back to my small business sales funnel…the more you can qualify your prospects before you have to physically deal with them, the less time you personally spend on sales and marketing activities.
Compile a set of FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Compile an FAQ for questions that you are asked over the phone, in your store, via email, etc from your prospective customers.
Compile an FAQ for the questions that your current customers ask you (either in person or over the phone).
This effort doesn’t require high-tech tools or anything fancy. Simply keep a notebook handy and record the questions that you’re asked. Do this for at least a few weeks to start with…
Now post the questions and their answers on a static page on your website
Once you have this initial list up on your website (you do have a website right?), make it part of how you do things to record interesting questions that you are asked going forward and add them to your FAQs.
Are their some questions that perhaps you don’t want to publish the answers to on your website? Probably, but you will need to determine those for yourself. For example, you may or may not want to publish your pricing for competitive reasons.
