hello_world.pngI’m so excited! Whenever I need to explain something in person, I have to have something to draw with. I’m one of those people that immediately run to the whiteboard and start drawing things.

Now the funny thing is…I’m not what you’d consider an artist. I’m not even a very right-brained kind of person. But for some reason, drawing my little stick figures and ad hoc graphs make more sense to me and get my points across better.

I want to bring that same capability here to this blog. So, I picked up a drawing tablet from Wacom…the Bamboo Fun. I’ve never owned or even used one of these things before. I have to tell you…I’m loving it!

This thing is so cool. Now I can doodle while I communicate with you! Suprisingly, it also works quite nicely as a mouse for everyday use. Once you get used to it, I think it feels more natural than a mouse does anyway.

having_fun.pngNow, fair warning…I’m no Picaso or Monet!! I’m not even a “decent” artist. But that’s OK. My intent is not to wow you my pictures but to communicate. I’m interested in your feedback as I use this tool more and more whether you think it helps get my points across or not.

As with anything, I’ll probably overuse it to begin with :)
