Capability 02

Market Research & Consumer Insights

Understand the market before making the move.

Qualitative and quantitative programmes run end to end — study design, questionnaire development, moderation and reporting — by people who have run them for two decades.

The problem it solves

A study that looks finished is not the same as a study that is right.

Design, questionnaire, fieldwork and reporting can each be flawed while the deck still reads as complete. The error surfaces later, usually after the decision it was commissioned to inform has already been taken.

The quieter failure is repetition: one framework applied regardless of the category, the audience or the question. It produces a description of the market rather than a view on what to do about it. We design each study around the decision it has to serve, and we run it ourselves.

01

Substandard work, confidently delivered

Research design, questionnaires, fieldwork and reporting are flawed — but the deck still looks finished. The error surfaces after the decision has been made.

04

The same report, every time

Typical research reports with no newness and no advancement — one framework applied regardless of the actual question.

How the data is checked

What's included

Qualitative and quantitative, under one team.

Study types we design, run and report. Each is bought on its own or as part of a programme.

  • Usage & Attitude

  • Brand Health Tracking

Run by our head of quant, whose stated remit covers brand health trackers, CLTs and segmentations.

  • Segmentation

Built and tested by the same team that reads the output, rather than handed to a modelling vendor after fieldwork closes.

  • Product & packaging testing

Executed as hall tests, central location tests and product placements on our own field network.

  • Advertising pre/post testing

  • Customer satisfaction

  • FGDs & IDIs

Focus groups and in-depth interviews are moderated by the founder himself, not by a subcontracted moderator.

  • Ethnography

Ethnographic and diary exercises are part of the founder's own delivery remit.

The field network behind these studies

How it runs

From the question to the recommendation.

The three phases of the approach, in the order a research programme needs them.

  1. 01

    Outsmart

    Frame the question

We establish which decision the study has to serve before deciding whether it is qualitative, quantitative or both.

  2. 02

    Outsmart

    Design the instrument

Study design and questionnaire development are done in-house, by the person who will moderate the groups or manage the fieldwork.

  3. 03

    Outpace

    Run the fieldwork

Execution goes to our own interviewer and recruiter network, which covers all key cities of Pakistan.

  4. 04

    Outpace

    Analyse and decide

Processing, validation and statistical testing sit with the analytics team, so the numbers are interrogated rather than simply reported.

  5. 05

    Outperform

    Recommend, then track

Findings are carried through to a recommended action. Where the study is a tracker, the same standard is held wave to wave so movement is real.
